Anamorphic Projection

A hologram-like illusion that keeps looking correct while the viewer moves around.

This was a simple experiment I did shortly after the Kinect was released: to see how head tracking would look on my big screen. It's pretty cool; I should use it for a game! (update: see the mock-up below)

How it works
To calibrate the system, you just enter the size of your screen and the position of the Kinect relative to it.

The head tracking is done by a simple custom algorithm, which should also work in top-down setups. Kinect's skeletal tracking can also be used.

If you set the model or logo to keep facing the viewer, perspective effects will get 'canceled out' and the object will keep looking the same from any perspective.
